Hours: 8.30am-3.30pm – Monday to Friday. Morning, afternoon, or full-day sessions are available. We require a minimum of two bookings across the week. 

Fees:  Many families can receive a WINZ Childcare subsidy up to $6.72 per hour. Contact the centre or go directly to WINZ to find out more. For children aged 3-6 there is the Ministry of Education support (20 hours ECE) available for use up to 6 hours per day.   The maximum Parents pay $6.75 per hour. There are often fee-free hours available with some booking conditions. Our friendly team can help you access any current offers.

Location:  Our Preschool is located in Sockburn, Christchurch, tucked away from the main south road, adjacent to Sockburn Park. We are really close to Wigram, Avonhead, Upper Riccarton, Ilam, Hei Hei and Hornby. We have 2 schools within a couple of minutes walk. and 2 further 10 minute walk down Main South Road.

Highlights:  Huge outdoor playgrounds for both infants and toddlers and especially for our preschool age group. Mature, experienced and stable long term, qualified ECE teaching team who are passionate about childcare and education. Rich, well-resourced environment for learning. Warm, nurturing relationships with children and families/whānau. 

Our Curriculum design is targeted to ensure we are responding to each child’s learning. interests and needs. We value family participation and the sharing of your dreams and aspirations for your child. We recognise the importance of culture and identity in the development of a person’s identity and self-belief, and seek whānau guidance on how best intergrate your culture into the preschool environment.

Who are we: We are a registered charitable trust and a not-for-profit Early Learning Centre. The centre is managed by a community-based Governance Board made up of parents and other community-minded members in Christchurch. We aim to keep fees as accessible and affordable as possible and actively support families to be engaged in early childhood education. We maintain our commitment to fully qualified early childhood teachers who maintain a high-quality learning environment with a high standard of care and education.

Closure Dates: The centre is closed for all public holidays and for approximately 3 weeks over the December – January holiday period.
